Lots of their demos showed ray tracing. This has me excited for the power of the system.

The console itself looks like something Alienware made.

It's a regular PS5 but without a disc tray - So any games you play on it have to be downloaded and saved to the internal storage.

People are already roasting the PS5's design on Twitter. https://www.theverge.com/tldr/2020/6...-face-building

Anywho, if this console really is capable of doing 4k at 120hz, then I might have to give up on PC gaming too.

Some of those look a bit flattering, comparing it to contemporary building designs.

The donald duck eating a router is certainly hilarious.

I think anyone here saying they didn't see anything impressive is either lying to themselves or still doesn't believe these are all rendered on the PS5 and think some of these are pre rendered cut scenes. They're not. Not all gameplay but all of this is stuff they can be rendered on PS5 in real time.

Also, not all exclusives. I'm sure Hitman and Resident Evil at least will be out on more than just the PS5.

But if you just want to be grumpy, have at it.

Considering PS5 will probably be $500 and an Nvidia GPU that keeps up with PS5 will probably be over $1000, I'll gladly start gaming on PS5 instead. The cost of PC hardware is too out of control.

For you.

I live comfortably enough to not have to worry about expenditures. Ever play a FPS with a controller?

Many around the web are saying how unimpressive it looks though. That's to be expected because we sorta reached the point of diminishing returns in rendering and the good stuff that the SSD does isn't immediately visible to the eye. Nothing in there looked a lot better than what is currently on PS4. Not too surprising because it has to render everything at 4x the resolution.

Not talking about being able to afford it or not, but there is a point where the level of greed is too high, and what you get for the cost is too low regardless of your wealth.

I could go buy a couple 2080Tis right now if I wanted to, but I don't hate money that much.

Point is; if the PS5 is offering significantly more advanced gaming hardware than anything available for PC and for a fraction of the cost, it's a no brainer. I play most games on my PC with a controller these days anyway, FPS and all.

If you quote me again try not to make it so weird. This is not about comparing finances.

A 2070S-class GPU isn't $1000 lol.
