My only issue is that games like these take a long time to beat and people prepare months ahead to take time off work. I was going to take time off in Sep but a good thing I waited. Image if this game was released during CONVID19.

Even Wow at its peak will do nothing for CP2077.

WoW doesn't need people playing, just subbing.

these expacs get OG players to resub, come back for a few weeks, then forget again & let the re-sub keep ticking for the 3, 6, or 12 months you signed back up for.

classic sounded like it went down kinda weird... not that i ever got into WoW (FF11 ftw)

Sure world of warcraft's sub numbers have been in steady decline since WotLK but that changes nothing. WoW always sees a resurgence in subs with every new expansion (even if it's only for a few months until the casuals get bored). To deny that fact is being wilfully ignorant.

WoW raiding did look quite enjoyable, but the work to get there? no thanks. game's boring as a bag of dicks if you aren't intertwined into a community you've been playing it with since forever.

FF11 private servers are a blast though. nostalgia FTW! my brother somehow still plays retail all these years later.

Classic raiding yes takes a bit of time to get to, retail is quick and easy to get into and depends how high of a difficulty you want to push. Mythic raids require lots of time to clear.

lol this game was announced in May 2012. That's 8 years ago. I don't mind waiting 2 - 3 years for a game that's really polished and fun to play. But 8? Hell no.

I've almost given up on GTA 6. It's been 7 years since GTA V and not a single announcement or even confirmation (officially) of the game yet from Rockstar.

I guess a couple of more months isn't that big a deal but it's more about the principle IMO. CDPR no doubt is a great dev (only played The Witcher 3 which was fantastic) and I've been looking forward to this game. I hope it doesn't get pushed into 2021 is all.

Meanwhile star citizen is still in alpha nine years later.
