The "Documented Issue" is one bad analogy that didn't even involve race.
The only racism involved is that the guy complaining about it was a diversity hire, a practice which should be illegal (the hiring process should be absolutely blind, as has always been the intent of the people who died to bring the world equality over the last century).

The world is a horrible messed up place and racism should be snuffed out wherever it's found, but the way things are going we're spiralling toward a society that makes the Spanish Inquisition look normal.

let's be even clearer

Identitarianism needs to go die in a fire.

why do I put it this way? Because half of my generation (millenials) and most of the zoomers appear to think racism only exists when white people hate on black people, but in reality all sides of the spectrum participate in racism via allowing and embracing identity politics.

It's a shame that Mixer is done. I had just recently moved to it. I liked the super-low latency mode they had which allowed you to talk to your viewers almost instantly. The games I played on there only a handful of people played, like Doom 2016. My channel was always on the front page because often I would be the only one streaming it or just one of few.

Also one of the most AWESOME features of Mixer was their CLEARLY laid out rules for becoming partner/affiliate. It was clearly stated how many viewers you had to maintain how many days/hours you had to stream before you earned it. With Twitch it has always been a toss up. "Well, I have a thousand viewers on twitch....who knows if I'll get partnered."

Misinformation should be a thing of the past. This is the age of information. You are obligated to accept facts and do proper research which is readily available to all. Become better, humanity.

They got payouts and release from contracts. It was rumored ninja got about 20M and shroud got 10M and they can go to whatever platform they want. Meaning I expect they are moving back to twitch.
They were offered apparently tens of millions each to move to facebook gaming exclusively (on top of the payouts), which they said no to.

Basically microsoft spent hundreds of millions of dollars on a platform and didn't get it to work.

it worked, just not for them.

it probably cost less to buy the raw data they want from someone else, rather than farming it themselves.

Mixer was in the "big" news if you're not into gaming. It was on ESPN, business insider, CNN, forbes, just to name a few. Actually almost impossible to not hear about it as it was mentioned in news titles for those websites.
It shouldn't be that hard to believe, I don't have cable (or an antenna) and I don't peruse websites like Forbes. This place is as close as I get to tech news and all I really pay attention to is the hardware news. I know about Twitch, it's the harbinger of this cancer.

Life is hard for everyone. Facing hardship doesn't make you special, it makes you the same as everyone else. What kind of man blocks people though? That's just childish.

It's cute when someone glances at a topic title and then posts without reading anything else. I don't even have to respond to make you look like a fool. Your post does that for me. - DaLagga, steam forum

like I said. Identinarianism needs to go die in a fire. that includes any group that bases their existence based on their racial identity.

idk what stormfront is, brings storm troopers to mind ... must be klan shart.

(btw - I have two great uncles still alive, both with IBM tattoos ) I grew up with the same kinda stories too. I just don't attempt to eclipse them as part of my own experience.

institutionalized classism replaced institutionalized racism, that doesn't mean the policy level racism doesn't still exist (i've done years in a cage, i've seen things too) it just means its evolved into an even more inclusive hate driven profit engine. This is what must be understood for any progress to be had... I suppose staying in the ghettos is fine if the police just stop being dicks, riiight? no, not right.

It's not an uncommon thing, "life is tough for everyone" ... what a crock of...

Let's get back to celebrating the death of game streaming and professional gaming, instead of discussing the life of racism, classism, and exceptionalism. They will close the thread before everyone gets a chance to piss on the grave if we don't.
