Not really into RPGs to be honest. It is one thing that stopped me playing Mass Effect 1 - hated to deal with the inventory and the RPG-like action, when you need to shoot someone 300 times, unless you have better gun with +10 dmg, so it takes only 200 shots... I liked the setting, the story, chatting with characters around, but these 2 aspects broke it for me.

Anyway, thanks for suggestion/opinion.
The game is far more basic and most bows feels closer to a typical third person shooter feeling which is pretty responsive. Don't know how that translates to mouse aiming though.

Witcher 3 has more complex skill trees and crafting. This game has bare bones. It's easier to digest than Witcher 3's full gameplay features.

3440x1440p120 beats 4K60 always and forever.

this announcement is for those of you that intentionally gimp yourself "cuz you don't play competitive games"

fluidity of 120hz trumps your low/medium settings 4K45-60FPS clarity

at least this is my personal experience, sample size of one. Can never forget, Lower latency = more fun, it's inherent life maths. Same applies for cars with throttle response delay.

Add me on Steam, same name

It really depends. When I think 4K I think OLED 55". It has both vertical and horizontal advantage over 3440x1440p120. Soon I will have 4K120.

I very specifically stated 4K60. not even 4K60 on a 120. Just flat out a 4K60 monitor.

though yes, most of us dream of 4K120 OLED.

It's a statement towards the current state of hardware more than anything else. the concessions required to play @ true 4K are too high, I don't like low settings or low frames. 2080ti seems much more valuable sub 4k

I played Witcher 3 [main story] with 290x @1440 p60. Was getting 70-80 fps. I then got 4K 40" screen and tried to play it at 4K. Was getting 24-26 fps. OCed the 290X to the max and my fps was ~ 30-32. After playing 4k 40" i just could not go back to the smaller screen. Every detail in the game was pronounced. 4k 27-32 would never work for me. I also had 34" 1440p before and did not like it.

yep, it's gonna be nice when we can move on from this weird middle ground of less than ideal 4K GPU performance that forced many people into these weird "cinematic" screens.

oh, n HDMI 2.1 making 4K120 without concession truly possible. next gen's gonna be awesome. ~60FPS has been unacceptable, with or without caps for ages now. It's why I dwell in this weird middle realm for now. I expect the 4K screen market to look quite a bit different a year from now.

I hope freesync can smooth out the stuttering issues. I already bought and preloaded the game, but hey I can always return it as long as I stick to less than 2 hours playtime.
