i5 9600k high temps at stock

Hi guys. I built a computer for my bro but im getting high temps at stock.

i5 9600k
phanteks ph-tc12dx
asus prime z390-p
msi gtx 1070 ti

cpu reaches 68c while gaming and mid 70s on synthetics. stock settings

is it normal ? i reinstalled the cooler with new paste and it didnt change anything.

im worried about these temps

The temperature is fine and will not cause a problem.

sounds about right stock. set vcore manually instead of leaving it on auto, you should be able to run 1.2v or less stock and they're often getting much more than that when left on auto.

Your temps are fine, but might be able to get them lower depending on what case and case fans you have. Generally stock case and case fans are setup to optimize case airflow and thus optimize temps and noise.

That's a bit warmer than normal IMO. That sounds like what I would be getting with a 4.9GHz overclock.

Agree with t1337dude.

With my freinds rig I built Le Grand Macho was barely hitting 60 stock, OCCT cpu test.

Overclocked or AVX stress test its a completely different story.

Also it is hungry for voltage 70 somethin SIL quality. What paste are you using? There are alot of other factors for example case ventilation, fans , RPM. The board does not set 100% speed at default turn off qfan.
