Dark Rock 4 + XF140 slim fan RAM clearance

Hi I have the ff:

NZT H200 (rear and top exhaust fans 25mm thickness)
Asus X470-i
G-Skill trident Z
Cryorig H5

I am planning to buy the BeQuiet Dark Rock 4 (aesthetics reasons). At stock the DR4 will interfere with the Trident Z ram. The Cryorig H5 fits perfectly and there's a very small gap between the ram and the slim XF140 fan.

I think the XF140 fan can be mounted to DR4 and based on what I see it can fit without interfering the RAM.

Although I can only imagine, it won't hurt to confirm if my theory is correct. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks

The fan can be mounted on the DR4. But.....it's not black, so may completely throw off the aesthetic, and the DR4 may not perform very well with a slim fan.

Im building a black with silver/gray rig. The XF140 would be fine. The performance is more than good enough for me. I am only using ryzen 5 3600 at stock which is at 65w.

So do you think it would not interfere the RAM?

I got this picture from searching, it seems there's enough space for a 13mm slim fan:

The fan mount allows you to raise the fan enough to fit the Trident Zs under it.

With the slim fan, it'll be very close(millimeters). It is very hard to guess the correct answer just by eyeballing it. But then again, you can raise that fan slightly if needed.

A better answer may be to use the BQ fan mounted to the rear of the cooler in pull.

@Ashura
Raising the fan is not an option as H200 has limited height. I may also go with a 120mm noctua or silent wing fan.

@ciarlatano
Thanks, I like the fan to be in front of the heatsink.

Fan will not fit between front of Dark Rock 4 and RAM. Front of fins on

Cryorig H5 is 20mm center of base to front of fins.
Dark Rock 4 is 73x136x159mm w/o fan, center of base to front of fins would be 36.5mm. Front of Dark Rock 4 will be 16.5mm closer to RAM so too close to fit fan in.

The slim fan is 13mm only. Shouldn't it fit based on your estimates?

There is no XF140 thin fan, but there is XT140 that is thin.
XF140 will not fit between front of DR4 and RAM.

Cryorig XF140 spec is 25.4mm but it is actually 27.1mm from front of cooler to front of fan.

Cryorig XT140 spec is 13mm but it is actually 14.2mm from front of cooler to front of fan.

If you have Cryorig H5 Ultimate it is 57.2mm center CPU to front of fan.

If you have Cryorig H5 Universal it is 44.3mm with XT140 thin fan.

Dark Rock 4 center of base to front of fins should be about 36.5mm. Add 14.2 for XT140 fan and it's 50.7mm center CPU to front of fan. But if you add 27.1mm for XF140 to front of DR4 it's 61.6mm center CPU to front of fan.

That make more sense?
