A vacuumed dual wall wouldn't have any condensation to absorb. The only condensation you would have forming would be at the base only.

But wood gets nasty extremely fast when it starts absorbing water. Plus, it would be worse than just having an armaflex sleeve at the expense of additional headaches by reinventing the wheel.
