35L is a pretty good sweet spot for CPU benching I found. I always had enough to tinker around on my system for a few hours and get some nice runs out. Now that I'm starting to bench 3D though I have found 35L to not be enough as you're cooling a GPU and CPU, I order upwards of 60L for a good weekend now. tongue.gif

cool i was thinking of something in the 30L range for CPU only. Might shop around for a decent used 30 - 35L to start with. Can always look for a second in the future when i need extra.
BTW when you say you order upwards of 60L for a good weekend, do you mean you hire the dewar for the weekend? Im not sure yet if i can do that here in thailand yet so i have been scoring the net for decent used to buy.

Yeah I went the same route, started with a 35L which I found was plenty for ages and then kept an eye out for cheap sales as I went along.
I used to hire out a second 20L dewar, but that got really expensive ($100 for the dewar alone for a week) and the company doing it has stopped dealing with consumer ln2 services altogether. I now have access to ~160L of dewars, but generally only get a 60-90L fill.

25-35L if you're just benching CPU, the bigger the better!

i m not sure because i have worked more with liquid helium and lHe production but a big dewar nearly empty might loose gas faster trough the bleed valve , ask the guys where you gonna get the Ln2 , i think they will know a lot more then us on liquide gas storage.

Hey stubass,it may pay to ask vince KP or some of the other guys in here about sealing the two piece pot, whats the best thing to use because I can only advice you on LN2 because ive never used anything els other then LN2 in the pot. With Ln2 it freezes pretty quick and would seal up everything anyway and the tape is just a precaution.Im a bit unsure about other liquids
Looking forward to some pics and results from you, biggrin.gif

yeah but is it still sticky at -150 ?
i was thinking it wouldn't because of dilatation and viscosity.
