That sort of depends on what you need, the Venom is great for full pot benching on CPUs with no cold bug, the F1 Dark is excellent for CPUs with a cold bug. It has such a high mass it allows a lot of temperature control, and the Venom has the super high volume. The Venom is also harder to insulate though, or so I've heard.

Personally, I'm springing for a Dark as soon as I can. thumb.gif

I did the only logical thing and bought both tongue.gif

If I remember right venom is a 2 piece pot so what is the best way to seal it so acetone doesn't leak?

yes the venom is modular... i have a venom and been told that painters tape is good to seal it with the base and top. here is a thread from KP on insulating the venom

since you have not long oreder, you should get a good amount of foam and foam tubing which is a very nice tight fit for it.

nice you bought both smile.gif

Vince just sent me an email saying my order would be shipped later today so hopefully by the end of the week I can have my pots. Now just a couple more questions. For insulating the pot and then making gasket for the mobo would this be ok?

Just got home from my Saturday class and this was sitting on my pool table.

Packaged quite nice and included all the insulation and everything I need for the pot. biggrin.gif

Waiting on my DD torture rack to get here and also hoping to find an LN2 dewar since praxair rents cheap but charges $4/L

Nice, wheres the venom though? I thought you ordered both.

I also remember that you had posted asking which insulation from grainger. For future reference, they have 2 different brands and are a few $$ apaart. Buy the expensive one of the two, you'll be dissapointed if you buy the cheaper one as it's not what is represented in the picture. I just got through exchanging it for the more expensive product.

Here is the link for the one that is the correct item. http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/KFLEX-USA-Insulation-Sheet-3F414

Backed out of the venom, decided I would put that money towards a dewar first and for insulation I think I'm good right now since vince sent some with it. Thanks though
