Hey Bart, just curious why you started going with Cu/Al? The pot I got (supposedly originally made by your) is a all copper pot and is beautiful. Just wondering if its a cost thing or if it even makes a difference since the pipe just lets it hold more liquid.

There was much more work needed to make full copper pot. The worst thing was cleaning from oxidation after brazing. I think there is no difference in performance, but now I'm able to make more massive pots (brazing 3kg block will be hard to do with my equipment).

Some scores done recently on ln2 using my pot I've used medium pot, 2.3kg total. You can control temp easily in 2-3C range. There is still a possibility to make pots better increasing a surface of internals. Reaction on pouring will be faster I guess. But design must be completely new

Sweet pot BartX! I have a quick question. Do you have a chance to test one if these with an i7 around 5.1GHz? My temperatures swing too much and I crash. Even if I start around -53 it will hit -40ish and crash. The base just doesn't hold the temperature well enough once I put such a heavy load on it.

I tested this pot on ln2 with i7 875k (which was really poor cpu, gain around 150mhz in 3d mark 2006 from -45c on phase to -80C on ln2). Holds temp pretty nice, no issues during benching (except dead MB Personally I don't use dice anymore due to temps and quite high prices (comparing to ln2).

You're right... that is not a good CPU

During that run, what was the temperature delta?

On ln2 you can control temp in such a way, that it changes only 1-2c during the whole run.
