I think Windows 10 does this better than Windows 7. In Windows 10, you would select the View tab, and then enable the "Details pane". It puts almost all of the file properties and its icon on the right-hand side. I love it.

Edit: Omg. I thought my post would be the first and only one. lol

Edit #2: No, this doesn't make the icons change in size. It just adds a pane on the right-hand side that has pretty much full file properties, almost. It's FAR better than what Windows 7 has at the bottom of the File Explorer window.

Change the icon size...it's right next to the details pane setting.

Hi,
You can't see a preview in the preview pane and details on the same side

7 you can see the preview plus on the bottom the details so it is much better in 7.

Not the same for a video file preview is silly but images wise 7 rules using both details and preview panes

Found the damm thing it was in the top of the folder under the view options and i was sure it had looked there but its been a while ago and i was tired so maybe i missed it
Anyway thank you very much for that its been extremity frustrating to have gotten used to a feature than all of sudden have it pulled away and have no idea on how to get it back

I just need to get used to have it on the right instead of the bottom but its there thats all that matters

Still not a huge fan of some of the things in Windows 10 but i have to switch to using it at some point
Maybe the recent discussions jumping glitch will go away with Windows 10

What are you talking about? Use large icons then? Or am I missing something?

Nice. In time, you might come to prefer it this way as I do. I didn't like having it on the right side at first, but now I strongly prefer it.

Do you use that Recent Discussions thing? You can hide it with CSS.

This.

Now that I'm used to it, I can see why Microsoft created it. I also enjoy using my mousewheel to change tabs on the ribbon.
