How is Windows 10 going to know what is on the HDD so unless you tell it to or reinstall it to the HDD Windows 10 wont use the old folders
I know steam can run games from an old install if you tell it where it is just fine

Ok, i need to reinstall the programs in the HDD to work with windows 10, and set the secondary steam library to disk D where my games are. It's really necessary change to windows 10 from 7, I'm going to see a difference in performance or system overall.

I'm asking because i read in Microsoft community that from Jan. 2020 Microsoft will stop any windows 7 updates and support. I already have windows 10 package about 2 years and never installed it, but it seems now its time.

Hi,
Win-7 support ends 2020 February I believe so more than 6 months.
Whether it gets extended is any ones guess.

I don't use 10 all that much, doubt that will change even after 2020 eol 7 is too stable for a very inconsistent win-10 where updates are much worse and crapout more than they are supposed to fix.
So keep regular system images with reflect free.
Might want to image your win-7 also

I was like you and hated Windows 10 with a passion but after having tweaked it and having downloaded 4 programs to fix all the crap and things i dont like i have started to like Windows 10 a little i still like Windows 7 a lot more but as you said support is ending
