Sounds/Vision Questions

Right, so i have my PC and Monitor next to my TV. I some times switch to playing games from My PC onto the TV these tend to be games like Forza, Prey, Middleearth. You know games where you can kinda relax, shooters, racers and such while i play other games like FF14, Warhammer Total War and such on my PC. Now the background is done. The questions:

1) I currently have to manually unplug the HDMI and plug it into a HDMI splitter when i want to switch from Monitor to TV gaming and i was wondering - is there any other way this can be done? The way i have it at the moment. The HDMI from the PC goes into a splitter. That then goes into the PC Monitor, i take out the PC Monitor one and put in the TV HDMI cable, press the button on it twice so that the picture appears on the TV. Its a cheap, cheap solution and was wondering if theres a better more elegant solution that i could do?

2) I currently use a cheapo pair of speakers for my PC and when i change from Monitor to TV gaming, i again have to jump through a few too many hoops. Going into the settings once everything is changed over and changing from speaker audio to TV audio which again is really not elegant or fast or anything, what are so good but also reasonable price speaker sets that you guys could recomend for not surround sound but good sound, as the speakers would have to be able to fit on my deck. Which is a L shaped desk with the TV on the long part, the PC monitor in the middle and the PC on the small diagonal part.

1 - Get a KVM switch and just use the "M" part.

2 - Depends on your budget. An amp like the Lepai LP2020A+ or SMSL SA50/SA98/AD18 along with a pair of bookshelf speakers like the Micca MB42X or RB42s would sound better than any similarly priced powered speaker option.

1) I dont need that, I just need a easier way to get Video showing on the TV instead of the Monitor without needing to keep pulling out HDMI cables and such every time i want to change them. I dont need to use keyboards and such on the TV, as i always use controller on these kinda games.

2) Will check them out and see what they are like

that's what using a KVM switch and only using the HDMI portion would do....

Well, this seems to be one, yet Its not what i need. That shows 2 devices into 1 TV. I need 1 device into 2 TV/Monitor, the picture shows only 1 way to get video and audio to a TV. It pulls in 2 signals and puts them out to 1 TV, i need it the other way around?

why do you need anything to do that? just leave both the monitor and the TV connected and just disable/enable whatever display you want to use/don't want to use in Windows.

because, the switch i have again is 2 devices into 1 TV. Which obviously isnt what i need. So i have to remove the Monitor HDMI cable to put in the TV HDMI cable so that it switches from monitor to TV

You have a PC and monitor and a TV. Yes?

You want to play some games on the TV and some on the monitor. Yes?

You want to stop having to unplug/plug in things to switch from one to the other. Yes?

Leave both hooked up to your GPU. Stop unplugging and replugging things. Do it in Windows and enable the one you want and disable the one you don't want.

Either I'm being really dumb or you're making this way harder than it needs to be.

Well, i would do that if i could, it has 1 HDMI connection, dunno what the other 3 are, think maybe Display ports? which i have never used before so no idea how they work.

why dont you just keep both screens plugged in and use windows to go back and forth between the two?

press the windows key + p to switch screens.

you can change the audio output by just clicking the little drop down arrow right above the volume slider when you adjust the volume with more than one audio output device plugged in.
