I bought the https://pulselabz.com/ Challenger for you in US I'm assuming comes to $214.

Check out my thread (https://www.overclock.net/forum/1808...n-cheap-3.html) on the chair and pics on what came out of the box and assembly. It does not come in green. I did my homework and narrowed the scope to Pulselabz. They also give you a 10 year warranty and it's free shipping in Canada and US.

Something to consider. Very comfortable and sturdy construction.

I gotta do it.

you know you'd get a better chair with that amount of money if you got one at a local officemax, right?

it just won't look as cool.

(someone with a Herman Miller, and a Maxnomic)

if you're dead set on a racer, then you've gotta remember one thing. They're all rebranded from the same couple factories. NeedForSeat breaks it down a bit, and also cuts a few models open to compare.

also note that (unless its changed) the recliner (side handle, like in a car) function only locks into place (like a car). Your axis of free tilt/stretch comes from the piston tilt only.

R.I.P. Zawarudo, may you OC angels' wings in heaven.
If something appears too good to be true, it probably is.
Best R0ach Quote of all time : TLDR: Haswell might be the last legit gaming platform unless mice get their own non-USB interface on some newer architecture.

luckily that's also a benefit. You'll eventually need to replace the piston if you keep it long enough, n they're readily available as even the $500 models use the same base. They just have better foam, "leather", wheels/bearings, LEDs now, lumbar, pillow. i might be missing a few.

there's also the thrifty route. Some towns have places dedicated to reselling specifically office furniture (so not goodwill, etc) you can find pretty high end stuff on the low low every now end then.

but yeah, if you're set on a racer, then you'll notice they all have at least 3 tiers. Look for the lowest price in the tier you're shopping for. It'll be the same chair, different logo.

they rotate like flavor of the month in a bad MMO, so you might have luck going to the OGs like DXRacer. Not sure what amazon pimps these days.

R.I.P. Zawarudo, may you OC angels' wings in heaven.

Gunder, which model came to $220? Everything I see is $300+

OP-
https://tinyurl.com/uay72l7
Merax Racing chair on Amazon. it's $136 right now, and uses the base frame of the standard racing chairs. What you linked uses the basic "office chair" format (look at the arms, they're bound to back and baseso it won't recline), and I'd say the racer is definitely better by comparison.

looks like the green model is specifically the cheapest too, it's normally $200.

In Canada the chair is $350 with a Black Friday code you can enter for $75 off. So I did the conversion $275 CAD is $211 US and free shipping.

yeah, he should go that route, or the one I linked if he wants to come in under budget.

Yeah as skupples here said, your money is much better spent at an office depot, or a Staples like environment. I just bought a new chair from walmart from Serta for about 125 and it is absolutely killing my back. Would not recommend. I wish I would have saved a little and gotten a slightly more expensive task chair, but I was needing something cause my last two chairs were hurting my rear end. This one now hurts my back. Shame on me, solution: get a mesh task chair.

https://www.officedepot.com/a/produc...Mesh-Mid-Back/

I'd pick that one up if I had the money right now, but alas, another time! If you're not into the whole mesh task chair thing, there are some really nice "executive" style leather chairs that are probably a little more expensive. One of my old teachers used to buy those exclusively (he was more of a big and tall guy) but they're pretty dang comfortable if you get the right one. If you really want to save some money, try facebook and craigslist. I see decent office chairs on there occasionally that are of the same style, just slightly used from an office environment, and usually cheaper. Cheers, hope you find something.
