Using old DVD (5+1) audio with new Samsung TV?

Hello guys,

I just bought a new Samsung UE50MU6100 and i really want to use my old DVD Philips LX3900SA 5+1 Audio system.
Problem is the DVD does not have HDMI nor optical audio connection.
According to its specification the DVD has the following connectivity options:

Analog audio Left/Right in
ComponentVideo out Progressive
Composite video (CVBS) out
Digital coaxial in
FM Antenna
Line out
MW Antenna
S-Video out
and SCART

While the TV has
Composite In (AV)
Digital Audio Out (Optical)
HDMI
Component In (Y/Pb/Pr)
Lan
USB

I tried hooking it up with RCA (both via scart and without) but it does not work. While it works perfect with my old Toshiba TV (2010 model)..
Do you see any options on hooking these two devices together?
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated..
