Like others have said, it comes down to preference. If you can't decide, just flip a coin. For me, after using ultra wide, I can't go back to anything else. The immersion and multi tasking... And in terms of compatibility, I play a lot of the aaa titles, and so far I have never had a problem (i.e. all have had native support).
