Whatever the reason, updating the OS with new features every six months is good to project onto customers the pretence that an OS can be a service instead of a product, but it's not so good when it comes to the actual OS. I wonder if Microsoft will ever hear the feedback that is coming from all corners to switch to a yearly feature update. They say they listen, but as of yet they have proven that they are still doing whatever is written in the plan.
The real issue is not 6 months releases. It's QA. They've basically sub-contracted it to the insider program downloaders. And it clearly doesn't work.
