That annoying tool gives you direct access to the same power tables that wattman manipulates. It works perfectly fine when used properly and allows for much finer tweaking and control. Disabling P states isn't something I would do either but the tool itself isn't to blame for improper use
Not denying that the tool works good. Its just getting a bit useless, when Wattman supports the same features. Conflicts with 3rd party programs always exists.
