Its an interesting time. I would suggest a good X470 board so that you could take advantage of the Ryzen 3000 when they do drop. Get a cheap Ryzen chip for now and OC the snot out of it. The GPU is a bit more difficult , a RTX 2060 will be close to a 1080 and it will give you a chance to paly with RTX and DLSS. You will have three new things to play with for six months.
