Yes, Ray Tracing in BF5 is not even close to what they showcased in the tech demo with BF5. Only a few very minor surfaces are ray traced. You can look up the video where they show testing of what is and is not ray traced, and since that video was made DICE has further reduced the ray tracing that was used even at launch to get better performance.
