O&O Shutup10 is something everyone on W10 should be using anyway, I wouldn't have been able to tolerate the OS without it.
It disables the forced update scheme, the re-installing of bloatware and about a hundred other things. My idle CPU/RAM usage is drastically reduced compared to vanilla W10 but isn't as impressive as when I made custom .ISOs. The custom ISO route is one I'd only use for a special "benchmark OS" if you will. O&O can disable/stop a lot of things but the custom .ISO prevents them from ever being installed like Cortana for example...a bench OS doesn't need any of that crap. There's a learning curve to making your own ISO but I feel like it would be worth it to make one for benching.
This PAGE Ran by an Italian programmer has a walkthrough of how to strip w10 after installation and it works very well. I use it myself and I can strip w10 in a few minutes using CMD and Powershell. It gets rid of Cortana, Defender, and any and all Telemetry and Microsoft tracker crapware. It is probably one of the better methods Ive used and very quick and as simple as Copy and Pasting commands into PShell and CMD for about 3 minutes with a couple of restarts.
