The main difference is probably the IR VRM controller used on the 9, which is the likely explanation for why they moved things around a bit around the socket and squished the chokes in so tight.
I doubt you'd notice any difference between them in terms of clockspeed on ambient cooling let alone a huge difference. There may be a slightly different vcore requirement for a given frequency but the VRM on the 6 is already very good.
They both look like great boards.
Edit: When you correct someone, you don't have to be an ass about it and say "Wrong". You can just explain the difference, helps to keep the toxicity down.
