I would LOVE to see where you saw a 2070 fall below 60 in ANY game on Ultra 1080

Did I achieve nothing? If I can play Resident Evil 2 REMAKE on Ultra at 1080p while the wife makes dinner, it would make the $600 all worth it. The 380s were getting old and outdated anyway, and needed an upgrade.
I wasted money when I waterblocked my 380Xs too, they're not even O/Cable, I did it for noise and just because I have a cool waterloop.

I may end up just using this 2070 for now, until I retire this AMD rig, and slap a Navi or RX in there and give it to one of the kids.

We'll see what kind of numbers I'm getting, and if it's a bottlenecked mess that doesn't hit 60 in EVERYTHING at 1080 Ultra, I'll upgrade to Ryzen, but I don't see that happening.

From here:

That said, this is also paired with a 8086k at 5ghz using 3200mhz DDR4.

Do you really think your FX is going to put out these numbers? And I don't know about you, but under 40fps for min frame is kind of falling below 60fps. It's already borderline at keeping above 60fps on most games as is. I'm not talking averages, I'm talking where it counts, your lowest fps.

Let's also look at the RT results of a RTX2080ti which as I'm sure you know since you own a $1500 one, is quite a bit faster than a 2070.

Again, good luck with RT on a 2070 when a 2080ti can't maintain 50fps at 1080p

Makes sense now that you clarified it - kind of.
