First you have to understand that Vega 10/20 cards are advertised to run at their second power state all the time while the "peak boost" is their highest power state which is 1750Mhz on the Vega 64. The throttling temp is 65C on the liquid bios. The LC bios advertised speed is 1668Mhz so if you are getting higher than 1668Mhz than you are exceeding the advertised frequency.
I've only found 1 way to bug it to run P7 all the time without fluctuations and the performance gain is massive and it's only temporary. The reason the cards can't run at P7 all the time is since they will use 364w all the time even when undervolted which the AIO wasn't designed for. As you can see from my video the card is running at 1800Mhz @ 1.25v with a single 360mm rad and it's at 46c with the Gentle Typhoon fans @ 2250RPM. Same goes for the Air cooled version, it wasn't designed to run at 330w all the time.
So you are running 1800 on the AIO? How long can you hold it for? Reckon it will sustain 1800 with upped power limits and cooler temps like say a custom block? Can you set P6 to = P7 or does there have to be a difference between the two? I am. So excited for my Vega. I really hope I can hit 1800 in my loop.
My loop is 360mm with Jetflo's in P/P and a 280mm with Corsair ML140s in P/P. All hooked up to a Lamptron controller. Fury's maintain 45C each underload at 1150MHz. I reckon the single Vega should hit about 40s maybe less even with OC considering the lower heat load in the loop?
