I tried it on my 3770k, it wasn't good, but it was ok. Trust me, its small next to Le Grand Macho RT, True Spirit 140 Power, I called it small, but its puny next to them. I don't mean to sound so harsh about it, I just don't have a strong opinion of its performance. I thought it was weak, to be frank. But some guys get a good one I reckon. And yes, the cooler air definitely has a part to play in it.

As for Price, you can get a TS140P for 15 dollars more than a 212 Evo. That's D14/15 quality and performance, or better for 50 bucks.
