Display is locked to DP 1.4 and doesn't use compression so no, it will never do it. This is a solution for now. Maybe in 2022+ we get HDMI2.1 displays or better DP. So far only TVs like LG C9 OLED got HDMI 2.1 which is capable of what you ask for.
Keep in mind Asus monitors have a latency from announcement to actual release of about 24+ months, so don't hold your breath.
