Looking to mod a Dell Optiplex 3010.

I have an older Dell Optiplex 3010 with a thin profile dvd drive. Has an i5 quad at 3.4ghz. I'd like to add a 1050ti low profile video card but I need more power. As such I'm looking to ghetto rig a better psu to the case temporarily. However the dvd drive is powered by a single small sata connector with a black and red wire, very much smaller gauge than the other wires coming out of the psu. I can take the old psu apart to check where they come from, but maybe I can take the safe route and ask here. Are they 5v and ground, can I just splice to the new power supply on a regular lead to sata power? Or should I try to find an adapter?

I don't know how else to describe this sata power connector. It's 1/3 smaller than the data cable roughly.
