In building in normal tower case using normal GPU we need lots of front to back airflow so the heated air coming off of GPU is moved back and out of case and not back into GPU .. or up and into CPU cooler. This is why in earlier post I said to remove all PCIe back covers to increase rear vent area around GPU and thus better front to back airflow around GPU. 2x front and 1x bottom good pressure rated fans are usually all that is needed.
