trusting devs/publishers to actually follow through, after so many times of seeing teaser trailer/videos w/stunning graphics and phenomenal game play to only end up buying some crappy console port is being very optimistic, to put it politely.
transparency would involve have a third party involved to verify the stated odds are correct.
