I still don't know how they couldn't know.
It's simple. They nurf'd the destructible environments for consoles. They made the maps smaller for consoles. They removed a lot of the vehicular combat.
Battlefield was very much a PC focused franchise, but they wanted the "CoD audience" and slowly started to neuter what made it good. Remember in Bad Company 2 where you could land a helicopter on a ledge and essentially have a mini-gun tripod and hammer an enemy position? In the later games, they made that pretty much impossible. They also almost totally removed C4 car bombs too. It's like they don't want people to be inventive and have fun outside of what the devs thought of.
Even in BFV, the maps are small and the vehicular combat is an after-thought. At least the destructible environments in BFV are better.
