So, here it is!!

The Artik(tm) GhettoPower Daughterboard!! biggrin.gif

4x LM317T in parallel for a total of 6A noiseless, extremely well regulated power delivery, regulable from 11.3 to 1.25V.
It can be fed with 5V for a more accurate 4.4-1.25V output, at a lower heat output and increased current delivery up to 9A peak, 8A constant.

Heatsink will be coming tomorrow, as it's too late to cut, saw and mill aluminium now tongue.gif

Wow, nice, can't wait to see how this performs and improves your Asrock.

Ha, this one isn't going on the board, it goes on the GPUs!! biggrin.gif

Those silly ol' piles of doo have resistor-regulated memory voltages, so they can't be voltmodded.

I'll simply lift the Vcc and Vdd pins and stick them to the GhettoPower, and call it a day wink.gif

I'll test it first on the half-arsed Radeon 7000, if it works, I'll voltmod all the TSOP-based memory chips on all the boards I have thumb.gif

Nice! applaud.gif

Make sure you get some input and output caps though, those linear regulators are notorious for not behaving properly without filter caps.

LOL, though you were adding them to the Asrock to even out the power to get the FSB even higher. GPU does make more sense, goes to show you how much I know about volt modding. If someone does lay it out for me I'm clueless.

Lol absolutely!! thumb.gif

I've got a nice selection of motherboard-grade Nichicons that will be used in the output. Now that you say it, why on Earth didn't I solder them to the bus bars in the first place? headscratch.gif

@Rasparthe: Don't worry, I'll explain anything you ask as detailed as I can biggrin.gif

Hehehe... biggrin.gif

I tested with and without caps, and because this is just some crappy testing (this card SUCKS and it isn't going anywhere), I don't have any caps plugged.

For some reason the voltage adjustment is very sloppy, but I'll get to that soon.

I've heatsinked it, but on the pics it isn't shown.

I'll tinker with it more tomorrow and post pics thumb.gif (need a new Windows installation, current one is screwed up pretty hard).

After quite some time, I thought I'd do a fresh XP Pro, stock, untweaked installation and try benching again.

So far, seems like my tweaked image was crapped, because at the same speeds I rocked 100pts more on the 9200SE, and after some tweaking I'm breaking 7.1k points right now, almost 7.2 being my previous best at 6825!!

Pics soonio biggrin.gif

Edit: HWBot submission as I finish tweaking stuff smile.gif
