Well that and clock speed increases but once we got to the 3-4ghz rang clock speeds stayed the same for a long time but IPC still improved drastically right up until about haswell.
I like how confident you are though. I mean your totally in the wrong here but it's cool how you don't let that affect your confidence level.
Mores' Law is that transistor count will double every two years.
It has nothing to do with IPC or any other form of performance in any context.
