Doubt we will see those improve on regular NAND much more. These should have minor improvements because the major issue seems to be latency and Samsung says they improved that, but we seem to be at limits in this NAND tech outside of accessing more in parallel to go ever higher. We really just need better and more accessible 3DXPoint, or another new tech that is "in the works" to see real improvement.






And as a reminder to everyone, these huge numbers like 5GB/s write speed this quotes are only for the SLC cache portion of the drive. When you start filling it or if you write for too long you move to regular TLC space and your speed will drop into the hundreds of MB just like sata drives have.
