Meanwhile, in the other room; Bridgypoo had been helping me break down the old case. As well as start putting stuff in the new one.
Alright, everything is out, cleaned, and the components are in place. The AIO was very difficult to get in and clear the EPS connectors on my motherboard. Time to wire manage.
deserves the utmost respect for pulling this off in this case. It should not really be possible to put this much hardware into a case this small designed like this. I helped some too but this is the result of probably 12 hrs of wire management on her part over 3 days. Any "snakes nests" or whatever you want to say, are essentially unavoidable with the room behind the psu and on the left side. Thank you sweetie.
Looks good, ne? ね? いいですよ。
Here it is, assembled. The work in wire management was definitely worth the uberclean look, and postmodernist industrial design.
If you want clean don't plug in anything. I can do without top panel USB and audio. I usually have my speakers, or headphones connected to the rear of the board. This board also has USB-C, so I can connect that to my LG Ultrawide to connect my keyboard and moyse to. Consequently, I think I have 11 USB ports of various speeds from 2.0 to 3.2 on the rear anyway.
Indeed, you have roughly 10mm to mount cabling in on the rear. Although, there are plentiful tie-down points everywhere to assist you. We used a combination of black zipties, and black wire twist-ties (like the ones on a bag of bread). This was a very difficult build; I would think even those that do full custom loops and clean cable management might give up and return this case, with that much room to work in. Indeed, the new AI Crystal M (I think?) midtower
advertises that it has 30mm space behind the rear tempered glass. It cannot hold a 360mm radiator in the top, however. anidees is a made-up word from "an idea", and they take feedback (on German forums perhaps? Facebook? No idea, never seen any support from them here) from their customers to integrate into new designs. Personally, I would recommend taking a look at the AI Crystal M. Or for a competitor, the Lian Li 011 Dynamic XL Der8auer edition looks good.
