Overclocking update

I wasn't expecting much from this card really, with it being a cheapo Palit, right now though I'm at 1620 shader with 75% fan speed at 61c Max I could get from my 260 was 1584 with 100% fan speed and I had stability issues once it reached around 70c.

Havn't tried any higher yet but I doubt it will go to the next strap..

Still working on the OC

Was running fine at 1620 so I bumped it to 1656, finished a WU fine then I bumped it 1674 and it seems stable so far, temps are still great too. Not bad considering the stock shader clock is 1404

Quite a good bump from stock. Is that the max OC?

I haven't tried to go any higher yet, I've been messing around with the fan speed though and I'm able to run it at just 60% without going above 64C at 1674 shader. No more leafblower driving me insane now

EDIT: 1692 almost 300Mhz shader OC

Seems these overclock more like a 285 than a 260

I just tried the next strap 1728, did a quick test in ATItool first and got artifacts within seconds so I guess 1692 is the highest folding stable OC I'll get..

Yes, it seems to overclock like a 285.

Me and Geforce have decided to hold out of the GPU competition. Both of us have not been able to fold to our full potential and we felt the competition required better dedication. If our problems get resolved, we might get back into the competition after a few months. Both of us will continue to fold but just not dedicated as before. I will continue to keep the scores for the competition. Thanks for a wonderful competition guys. It was real fun.

You should slowly start folding 24/7 again then put that 285 to work for GPUaholics when we go 3 man teams.

Take me down to the paradise city where the grass is green and the girls are pretty.

I have started warming it up

Just worried about the power bills if not there would be no stopping me from folding.

For my future team mates, i can definitely guarantee 4 - 4.5k ppd min.
