ya but id be happy to volunteer my time. we would just have a actual score update done every 2 or 3 days instead of everyday. Also you could have a program pull the scores and add the multi's to each score. I know i could have excel do the math id just have to plug in the scores manually.

Also another idea would be having like a 3 month season where you play a team for a week straight head to head, then we keep standings and have a playoff system in the final month?

Nah, i don't like that last idea.

I like the multiplier idea. That sounds like the best way.

Not when we already have a program grabbing scores. It wouldn't be anything big to add multipliers for each individual. Or perhaps even a statement that automatically assigned a multi, based on a constant string (which would be the card name. like gtx260, etc).

Then all that would need to be changed is usernames, and the constant card types.

Great, i'm no expert at programming.

This would also be a great idea for ATI cards to participate more. They could just have a large multiplier, and therefore compete in the GPU comp with the green boys

I like the idea but the concern is verifying what cards everyone is using. I know my 260 performs really well and that might raise concerns about a multiplier but all in all I do like it.

Edit: I'm not trying to imply that anyone would cheat in the competition but basically as a means to alleviate any allegations that could arise at some point.

I seen this thread yesterday, so I had to think of a response.

As a [email protected] editor in charge of the Folding Comps, I don't think a multiplier will make our lives any easier, it's just not gonna fly, just trouble anyway I look at it.

I can, however, look into changing the current GPU competition. I fully understand that ATI folders want to get into the mix, but we need to realize that first and foremost we fold for the cause.

As far as making a new competition with GPUs and CPUs going full out, there is a competition, its flat out Folding for OCN (Team 37726). You can fold with as many CPUs or GPUs as you wish, no one will ask you to fold under a different name, completly full out.

So in conclusion, I do not think another competition is going to solve anything, just mud up the water more.

My idea wasn't using multiple cpu's and gpu's, it wasn just one or the other. It was also meant to replace both competitions. So there wouldn't be a third, it would be one competition to rule them all .
