Hello, I am interested in joining a folding team. System specs will be posted. I will be able to fold anywhere from 8-16 hours at a time or longer.

Specs:
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x32
CPU: Q6600 Quad core @ 2.5ghz
GPU: Gtx 260 core 216 superclocked ed. 55nm (2.3gb DDr3 Vram)
Ram(not that it matters): 4 GB ddr2 800

I am experienced and comfortable with GPU overclocking (shaders etc) My clocks sit at:
Core: 705-] Linked
Shader: 1520-] Linked
Memory: 1196

Highest stable:
Core: 725 -X Unlinked
Shader:1635 -X Unlinked
Memory: 1303

I start bottlenecking afterwards.
Thanks for your interest and time.

Well heres the thing, I have a decent cooler, but I dont know what it is and I have always been afraid to overclock my cpu...at all >.> you can see photos of it in my gallery.

EDIT: I know I sound like an idiot, but the cpu cooler always has been a mystery to me, I will probably be getting a Cogage Arrow soon. Sooo yeah.

Drop a post in this thread below (it's the 'looking for a team' thread)
https://www.overclock.net/gpu-folding...t-new-one.html

Also, if you'll unlink your core/shaders and drop the core to stock you should be able to get a strap or two more out of that 260! I ran my at 1566 on the stock cooler. Welcome!

Edit: Well, you might want to wait on getting into a team because the staff will be restructuring the folding teams in the next month or so (info here). Might just wait to see what the new rules/structure is and pick a team then!

You should overclock it, unlike my q6600 is stuck with a locked bios.

If your worried then just do something small like +200mhz you will learn something and can use it for later.

Q6600 gets kind of hot @ 3.6, but for starts, you could try an easy 3.0GHz with a 1333MHz fsb.

You have come to the right place, the OCN folding team is the best there is.
Its easy to join; just follow these guides GPU and CPU and start folding for OCN.
