and OCN!!! When I got the email, I couldn't believe it; I don't win anything. Haha
I set it up, and it sounds beautiful. I replacedmy AudioEngine D1 DAC and using it in conjunction with my AudioEngine A5 speakers. I'm in the middle of buying a home, and when I do, I'm now going to go proper and turn it into a 5.1 setup now.
The addon is really nice quality, and I like the visual of the audio (and it ties to windows). I tried out the headphone port with both a pair of Bose in-ear headphones and a Bose QC35 (I know there is MUCH better, but I used to work for them - don't judge) and it sounded great. The mic I have currently is USB based, but I plan on switching it to something that takes advantage of the XLR connection.
The soundcard install was difficult for my build. I wanted it fit at the bottom, but not enough clearance from 2x 2080 TIs. I made it work at the top. The look of the card is perfect for my setup - I have a white theme and it's perfect.
Verse the D1, I don't hear much of a difference in direct mode. But when using the presets for gaming and different sources, I can personalize it, which is nice, and with games like MW2019 and Battlefront 2, I can hear the difference nicely.
Thanks again OCN!!
