Max safe voltage for 5820k overclock ?!
My friend has an old i7 5820k with Asus X99a mobo and 4x8gb 3200 gskill ripjawV ram .
We try to find the stable overclock for 4,6 ghz , but always fail after 1-2 hour gaming. CPU Voltage is 1,32V already . Shall we go higher or let the 4,6 dream go away ?
Cooling is not problem , custom watercooling with 3 x 400x200mm radiator (6x 20cm fan ) . I have read somewhere 1,35 is still safe with water , but it seems a lot for me since stock is like somewhere 1,15V
Also : Is it worth to overclock the "uncore " speed ? (cache i think) , its 3,5 ghz atm .
