Win 1903 ntoskrnl latency issues

Anyone found a fix yet? This is on latest update 1903 (not insider) on ryzen 2700x + ch7 motherboard

FIXED: update to win 18932 insider build. DO NOT update to 18936, it causes hard stutters.

What Power Plan do you use? As it says it might be caused by CPU throttling settings, which means that this happens due to CPU downclocking.
Using High Performance Power Plan might fix it, as core clock will be fixed at 100%.

I've seen someone say that a "power throttling" feature in Windows 10 is causing this. Here's a blog post about that feature:

https://winaero.com/blog/disable-pow...ndows-10-1709/

That post says that using the high performance power plan is not enough anymore:

Quote:
Previously, you could disable the Power Throttling feature by enabling the High Performance power plan in Windows 10. In Fall Creators Update (Windows 10 version 1709), there is a dedicated Group Policy option which can be used to disable Power Throttling. Here is how.

Perhaps that's the important change causing those LatencyMon results in 1903 compared to previous builds?

I'm wondering if that extra latency is perhaps intended. Maybe this is how the Windows kernel actually throttles background programs, by making the programs wait an extra long time when they ask for something, and LatencyMon then sees that a spike.

This is my results. Just ran it.

Also set my plan to balanced and ran it again.

Uh, could it be a ryzen only related problem? It is global issue, if you google for it you will find tons of users with this problem

I'm leaning towards it must be because mine seemed to be just fine and my system is getting older, still powerful no doubt but getting older for sure.

I was having a similar problem with 2700x and X370 C6H. It seems to have been fixed for me by reinstalling the nvidia driver and not including the nvidia HD audio driver during the install. So I would try that if you have an nvidia gpu.

I am still getting some latency issues. If I let Latencymon run long enough I end up getting latency issues.

Hi guys i've been lurking around forums and the fix for this issue is upgrading to insider build 18932 2020 april update.
DO NOT update to 18936, it will cause hard stutter/lags on desktop.

Is Microsoft aware and working on this issue it seems?
