Does Priority Separation Helps To Increase Efficiency Of Apps?

Hi Friends,

Has anyone used priority separation to increase the efficiency of apps or programs in Windows? Does it work in reality?

Do you mean affinity?

It depends on the application and the CPU

*** at your own risk, but in case you mean Svchosts, Default sets way too many- Imo.

~as to why it is useful to split in the first place

-Increased Security by providing additional inter-service isolation

-Increased Scalability by allowing per-service settings and privileges

-Improved Resource Management through per-service CPU, I/O and memory management and increase clear telemetry (report CPU, I/O and network usage per service).

Running 16 Gb - i'm a rebel, ii mine set to 8388608, results in 15 svchosts. Less overall idle usage, more free threads is all i personally care about.

If you meant processing; Process Lasso, CPU cores, or disabling Core 0 affinity on games also comes to mind

I am more specifically talking about the method discussed here. Will this work for games?
