Core i7 6950X vs Ryzen 3900X and 3600 downgrade

I know this is a bit of a luxury problem, but nevertheless I am not sure which route to go.
Currently we have my workstation, my wifes workstation (my old) pc, our HTPC/ITX/Lan PC and my wifes old workstation. So 4 in total and we just need 3.
After upgrading my main rig to Ryzen 9 3950X I gave my wife my old X99 with 32GB ddr4 2666mhz, core i7 6950X and coupled it with her 2x RTX 2080 nvlink Sli she had in her old (X99 + i7 5960x) workstation.

However I also have my htpc/ITX/lan gamer with 32gb ddr4 3600mhz and a Ryzen 9 3900X and a RTX 2070 Super. But I feel this is a bit overkill now as I just use it as my htpc and for world of tanks and war thunder gaming in the living room.
Therefore I am considering if it would be worth using the Ryzen 9 3900X as a replacement for my i7 6950X in the secondary pc aka my wifes pc? I would take the 3900X and my 32GB 3600Mhz kit out of the htpc/ITX PC and buy an Asus Prime X570-Pro and put the ram and cpu in there and also put the RTX 2080 Nvlink cards in there. For the htpc/ITX I would downgrade a bit and buy a cheap 16GB ddr4 3200mhz kit and a Ryzen 5 3600 to put in the pc instead.

What do you guys think? Would it be a waste/side grade ? or would you keep the i7 6950x with RTX 2080 nvlink and the little powerhouse htpc/ITX setup.

If going all in for AMD I would be selling both X99 PC's afterwards.

In my opinion since you have enough hardware to go around, I wouldn't buy anything. I would just rearrange what parts you have as you see fit and only buy new stuff in the future if you're actually looking to upgrade it. Any extra parts you have and don't need you can just sell.

I decided to downgrade the htpc and put 16GB ddr4 and a Ryzen 5 3600 in there. The 3900X and the 32GB ddr4 I will build a new pc around for the wife. I already got the case, cooler, psu, 2x RTX 2080, so I just need a x570 board.

The two X99 systems will then be sold.
