Silicon Lottery Vendor Retirement

Hello all,

This is just a notice that Silicon Lottery will be moving from Vendor to Hardware REP in the coming days. If you wish to discuss products and service options please refer to their website contact form: https://siliconlottery.com/pages/contact

Please note that with their moving from Vendor to Hardware REP that their Vendor section will also be retired. Contents within the main Silicon Lottery forum will be preserved and merged with the Intel/AMD General sections as appropriate. Any content within their Post Sales & Pre Sales section will be archived out of general view. We would encourage those who wish to gather information from this section to do so as soon as possible prior to the 31st December 2018. After this point the information will no longer be available.

We thank Silicon Lottery for their time with us during their period as a Vendor, we hope you will do the same. We look forward to having them stay on with us in a Hardware REP capacity where they will be able to provide service and product support moving forward.

All the best,
E

Will Silicon Lottery have a thread instead of a subforum section then?

They can do yes, but this is entirely up to them as to whether or not they choose to go that route.

This is what I want to know as well. I'm worried it has to do with the new site driving people away.

After speaking with Silicon Lottery at the time, they did not really ever take advantage of the Vendor position so far as promotion which is what you pay for mostly as a Vendor. As they have always been a more support based role on the site for their products, they have chosen to make the move to a true support only role on the site as a Hardware REP. Ultimately if you are not going to take advantage of a particular service (such as a Vendor service) then it makes little sense to carry on in that position.

There services and products are still available from their main website. They however will not sell through OCN moving forward but they will remain here in a support only capacity.

This is the reason why they are formally changing from site vendor to support only. As it stood, they were a paying vendor but did not take advantage of what the vendor position had to offer such as promotions and exposure, they only took advantage of the dedicated forum space. They offered products support with some product promotion mostly. With that realization, a vendor spot did not really suit their business model and have opted to dissolve their vendor position and move to support only role on the site in a more official capacity.

What it comes down to is, why pay for something you know you are not going to take advantage of.
