That might be true but since we dont have Seasonic here in Denmark i cant say anything about Seasonic
For the most part all we have is Cosair and not much else at least not in the local shops

And some of the other brands make something better then some of the Cosair/Seasonic units but because they are not as well know or just because people like to buy a brand instead of researching what they actually buy before they just buy the brand because a million people has said hey buy this its the best thing ever made and that is pretty much what Apple does to people

Agreed. Also, Antec's TPN 750 is the BEST 750W power supply. hands down. The little monster can get up to 924.1 watts and keep 79% efficency. I'd really like to see a HX750 try to do that.

As I said earlier in this thread, until Corsair does me wrong, I see no reason to switch. Rosewill, and a couple of other companies have done me wrong in their support area and I was left with defective products that were still under warranty even though the companies refused to help.

And I never said Corsair was the "only" one or even best or anything remotely similar to that. I use plenty of different hardware manufacturers, but only stick with the ones that keep their word and their warranty.

false. that's not even antec's best 750w psu. and 912w at 83.1% efficiency isn't so bad is it lol. antec TPN, I had that right before this HX750. sold that pc. miss that pc.

Unlike Apple though, their reputations are pretty well deserved. Even if they aren't the absolute best in a given market segment, their high-end offerings are consistently top tier with longer warranties than the industry standard. And both companies, Corsair especially, have a large international presence with great track records for customer support. Obviously that kind of peace of mind, on top of great performance is worth the premium to most people (and really, an extra 20-30 dollars is trivial).

Are there other great options out there? Sure! But until Corsair/SS start turning out duds or refuse to honor their warranties I can't blame anyone for recommending them.

This thread has hipster written all over it. Corsair and Seasonic are too mainstream, man! coolsmiley03.png
