It seems that I am the only person on Overclock.net who is using a Strider Gold 850W. I checked the rigs of all people who claimed to be using a Strider Gold 850W and they are all actually having a different PSU listed in their rigs.



It has been working in my rig since June 2012. No issues so far, but then again my PSU has never been loaded beyond 600W, and even that might be a stretch. Planning to keep it until I upgrade this rig in around 2018.

The old Strider Gold is better then the two newer Strider Gold series which replace it.

That may be the case, the not so new V2.0 Strider Gold is not great, mine FAILED by blowing up just after the warranty period ENDED!

Looks like it's not that uncommon if you check reviews online.
