Are you sure it's the PSU. My Gigabyte MB's will sometimes come on for a few seconds, shut down and reboot -- especially when the current is switched on.

 

I demonstrated this on my test bench. It will occur with the same MB and several PSU's.

I am not 100% sure it is the PSu

I assumed it is the psu ( I know mother of all f**k ups )
I am running an Asus Maximus VI hero.
should I be looking at the mobo ?

Where did u say you have demostrated this ? could i have a look at it ?

I demonstrated it to myself, over time, using several PSU's. But I think the Seasonic rep has offered an RMA to check on your unit.

Cooler Master V1200 is the same unit and i would rather take that one as its cheaper, unless the Seasonic is on a sale or something the Cooler Master V1200 and EVGA SuperNova G2 1300 watts/EVGA SuperNova P2 1200 watts are better bang for buck.

I'll keep my white super flower (I know the Chinese name for them to hehe) with awesome lights. Even my wife likes them. I really wish seasonic would make a white psu
