The store i bought the PSU from said that it was Seasonic's fault but thanks to Sea Sonic Rep i know that it was the retail store that was bad.

So my post can be deleted or considered as ignored since its NOT Seasonic's fault.

Thank you.

NO It should not be deleted - it should be left for people to see.

That is a great outcome smile.gif

Honestly man, its THE worst RMA i ever had so far.

They lied about almost everything...

I filled in an complaint about them and not much later i get an call of one of their customer care center with the announcement that i get an 10 euro coupon because all of this trouble!

Obviously i am happy with this but i also want to know what has happened because i am still in the dark why they lied about almost everything..

@Hurricane28,

I would not look too deeply into this issue with Alternate or any online shop for that matter. Via PM, I have told you my iPhone story with another online shop... 10 weeks to get a refurbished unit....

I think you are taking this a bit... too personal.... I don't think they are out to get you in particular.... it is just many of the webshops are very good at selling and not necessarily very good at after sales service...

When you push them for information, why would they say it is their fault when they can blame it on someone else and hope that you don't dig further? For my iPhone situation, the online shop placed the blame for the delay squarely on Apple and for sure, Apple does not take 10 weeks to get a phone replaced.

Keep the rant posts in the thread...?? hmmm... I just hope whoever reads it will keep reading further to see it has been resolved and is not our fault and not just stop at that particular post....

@SeasonicRep

I've had my AX860 since 2 months ago this time! It's been a pleasure to work with! I resleeved it and made it my baby! I know it's a Seasonic OEM, but relabeled by Corsair... smile.gif Thanks for the fantastic product!

The day M$ makes a product that doesn't suck is the day they make a vacuum.

That's not the first time I read about alternate dropping the ball on the after service. I mainly order at 4launch (and some others) after zercom went bankrupt, because it's fairly close to me (30-40min drive), but they aren't perfect either. And I just ordered some parts from Afuture.nl yesterday because they had every component i needed.

Just don't order anymore at alternate, even if they're the cheapest, same with maxict. Those are bad shops! Speak with your wallet!

Personally, after reading all of this, I'd still choose Seasonic over any other brand on the market right now (will be my next psu). Corsair being last one the list, for every-single-thing they make, not only PSUs. This is based on what I've seen as customer service and Corsair is per my experience (about 5 months with Corsair).

Hey,

I have this Corsair AX760 psu,which is very similar,if not exactly the same psu.
Used it for about 2,5 years,with my Sapphire r9 290x.

Started experiencing lately some crashes,in-game,or when alt-tabbing(BSOD).

Tryied my video card in 2 other pc's,card works perfectly.

I thought why shouldn't i change my pcix cable from psu to other port,when i saw that the psu end cable(pcix) has 3 melted pins.
Never occured in my mind,that this could happen to a high-end psu.

Changed the cable and the port on the psu,but the crashes kept coming back,sadly.Changed the gpu from slot 1 to slot 2,same crashes.Changed the motherboard,to test,same crashes.
Memtest was ok.

Opened a ticket at corsair,for psu,still waiting,no reply.

My connections were ok,double checked every time,when assembling.
