Cable compatibility between EVGA 750 and 1600 W?

I got myself an EVGA 1600W G2 and I need cables for it. I currently have an EVGA 750W G2 so will those cables work as placeholders until I get the set from the manufacturer site or should I avoid using anything other than cables specifically for that PSU? I thought it would be cool but a guy said that mixing between PSUs was essentially a no-no...

Both are G2 models so it does not matter and you can use any cable between the two
Mixing cables is only a problem between models that are different

It is NOT common for cables to cover the entire power range, even within the same naming scheme.

This is why EVGA is so cool to use in the PSU catergory.

Here is the confirmation of cross compatibility on EVGA's own website

Ok, so I can technically use my 750 W cables then assuming I don't increase my powerdraw on any of the GPU cables more than they already are, I assume? Cause I'm planning on shuntmodding my GPU but if I don't have the proper cables to support that extra power, I guess I should wait until I've gotten the 1600W cable pack from EVGA.

Thanks. EVGA confirmed this as well. I just need a C19 power cable for the actual PSU, the internal cables are the same.
