It's still not obsolete! :-) I'm not much of a modern gamer and I tend to stick to causal online tasks, like email or web browsing, and sometimes Youtube. So I have no trouble seeing my new PC build lasting me 10-15 years at least, especially seeing it can be upgraded to a whopping massive ton of ram, 256GB!! And if necessary and if it's still feasible, I'll hunt down another socket g34 board that can support 512GB or 1TB of ram! (Yes they do exist) Buying server grade hardware can buy you time. There were clunky ol' (440GX?) servers in the late 90's that supported up to 8GB of ram which is still a good size today and in my experience ram is the single most important thing of any aging computer. CPU speed doesn't matter as much. See if I'm not right...

Quite a debate it's been, hasn't it? I appreciate the contributions to the topic. I don't reject all information, I compare it to the truths I've learned. I'm not paranoid, I know the truth and I hope sooner or later you come to believe me. Save yourself and your families. I deleted my Facebook early last year and I also use anonymous search providers like Startpage. Fight back, protest. Don't let your rights smother into dust. Fight for your freedom. I sign online petitions from time to time to help the cause, among other injustices.
We have entered a different paradigm than 30 years ago. Computers no longer make the enormous jump in computing power that they made back then and everything is getting parallelised. The future of computing lies in Intel's neural chips, that have thousands of slow cores rather than a few fast ones.

also, I take offense! My x79 system is still a slugger. @ 1080p120 w. a 1070. The person that makes use of it now absolutely loves the little power house, as they know nothing better.
Really an x79 system is too slow for you? What did you use it for, just games? I still think a Core 2 Duo/Quad with 4GB+ of ram is still a decent online browser. Athlon II's are great little boxes for the web too. I still used Pentium 4's as my main daily drivers up till 2013, but I also had my Athlon II X2 at the same time and that thing flew with XP!

Doing some quick research, x79 motherboards can support 64GB of memory! Who can complain?... (Minus the IME of course) That's more memory than the new systems you buy at the store come with. Upgrade your older systems and save money.

Anyway way off topic now
Have NEVER created any Facebook account, ever.

Simply because I never believed in it from the very beginning, also there is NO Twitter or any other 'social media' accounts.

I must be the hardest person to spy upon, for the United States, Russia and China regimes .

And recently it's been discovered that British army officers are part of the board of Twitter.

No more enslaved are those who falsely believe they are free and you lot are entirely enslaved as you live by the ignorance is strength mantra.
