What power supply for 3770K?

So I just upgraded to Ryzen and brought my Seasonix X760 with me, however I still want my old 3770K and 1060 to run for someone else and I have these two Power Supplies spare.

AcBel R8 Power II 650W and a Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 460W

I'm thinking the AcBel would be better since it's 650W, is actually 80+ Brozne rated, and comes from a well know? OEM of power supplies.

Honestly, while neither seem good, I doubt you have much issue with a 3770K+1060. They are not likely to consume all that much power.

Hard to find AcBel info, but here is a review of the CM https://www.hardwaresecrets.com/cool...ply-review/10/

Also not sure if it matters but 4 3.5" drives, an SSD and 8 to 10 fans.

Shouldn't matter too much; if anything, the OC on the 3770K matters more.

Previously was running 4.4 @ 1.380V But had to drop it down to 4.3 near the end months before I upgraded this week, so maybe less volts.

Personally I try to never put anything less than 650w in a gaming PC because it's nice not to have to work about upgrading the power supply for a new gpu down the line.

Good advice.

What seems good TODAY will be useless tomorrow, when even higher voltage gear is released and bought by enthusiast's. Which most OCN users are, we go in hard and heavy for the most outrageous hardware, each and every time.

That future 64 core monster, is just around the corner.....

I would use the AcBel R8 Power II 650W for the Rig, plenty of power. For my gaming Rig in my signature, I use Seasonic GX 550w. My Rig only draws 317 watts from the wall when gaming.

If it helps I run a heavily nodded 3770k (delidded and lapped) running at 4.9GHz 1.415v Vcore, with a GTX 1080, plus D5 pumps, fans, lighting, 8 drives, monitors... and yet the whole system pulls less than 500w from the wall under full CPU and GPU combined load (measured at wall socket/outlet).
So I would say your rig would pull under 400w, therefore go with a good quality 450-550w, instead of a cheap/poor quality 650w+.

On the 7th day, God didn't rest... he was busy doing a 24-hour Prime95 run

I don't think this is going to matter anymore... The Z77 OC Formula just killed itself.. There's still doubt in my mind if it was me, something I did, something I used, or just the board deciding it was time to die...

A single ASM1480 chip on the board just popped and blew smoke... https://www.overclock.net/forum/6-in...l#post28157346
